SLK 3 EX - connector for explosion-proof equipment:
The SLK 3 EX connector offers a certified solution for equipment in explosive environments. It is type-tested to meet EU Directive 2014/34/EU and EN standards.
Explosive Use
Manufacturers of electrical equipment are often confronted with the challenge of producing equipment for use in potentially explosive environments in chemical factories, petrol stations and paint shops, but also in businesses with corresponding dust exposure, such as bakeries or carpentry shops. Special requirements have to be taken into account here.
The use of equipment in potentially explosive areas is regulated in EU Directive 2014/34/EU.
Connector Series Expansion
In order to offer our customers suitable components for explosion-proof products, we have added a new variant to our SLK 3 series of connectors. The new SLK 3 EX is a certified connector that has been type tested in line with Directive 2014/34/EU and meets the EN 60079-0 and EN 60079-7 standards. Please refer to the SLK 3 EX datasheet and the user manual for a detailed product specification.
