What is the tab used for on the SLK X/5 OF?


The plastic tab on the SLK X/5 version without fixing pin (OF) serves to securely fix the terminal.

Does the SLK X have UL approval?


All SLK X versions are UL approved – except for the SLK X E-SCHR (version with screw earth). For this case, however, the SLK X/5 E-SCHRCU is available as a UL-certified variant.

When is the SLK X SKII used?


The SLK X SKII is used in luminaires with reinforced insulation (protection class II) up to 300 V. A typical application is outdoor lighting.

I need special printing. Is that possible?


All our products can be customized from a certain minimum order quantity, provided that there is sufficient space on the terminal.

Which strain reliefs fit the SLK X?


The following strain reliefs can be used with the SLK X:

  • 88168394 - BFP ZUG SLK 7
  • 88168395 - BFP ZUG SLK 7 STAND ALONE
  • 88167546 - BFP ZUG OF

What does GWIT or GWIT 775 mean?

 

  • GWIT → Glow-Wire Ignition Temperature
  • GWT → Glow-Wire Test, a standardized test according to IEC 60695 to assess the flammability of plastics
  • GWIT 775 → material did not ignite during the glow-wire test at 775 °C on the standardized test plate

What is the difference between SLK 3 and SLK 3 CLEAR RANGE®?


The functions, dimensions, and technical values of the SLK 3 and the SLK 3 CLEAR RANGE® are identical.
The key difference lies in their sustainability:

  • The SLK 3 CLEAR RANGE® consists of up to 89% sustainable materials.
  • It is free of halogen and persistent UV stabilizers.
  • It can be fully dismantled at the end of its life cycle.
