INSIDE ET - Stamping department

Alessandro, head of our stamping department, attended technical school for mechanical engineering and then completed his mechanical engineering studies. He joined Electro Terminal in March 2021, initially as an assistant to the plant management. That autumn, he took over as the department head for the 20-person team, which produces stamping parts in up to three shifts as needed.

"On 23 high-tech stamping and bending machines, around 500 million contact parts are produced each year from steel and non-ferrous metal strips, most of which are further processed in our in-house production.

Working with the machines and tools requires great care, as many stamped parts are only a few millimeters in size. For tool overhauls and spare parts, our department is actively supported and well looked after by our in-house tool-making team.

Sustainability is a major concern in the stamping shop as well. When planning new projects, great care is taken to use materials and resources efficiently. For example, cutting oils are processed in-house and returned to the production cycle.

The possibility of shaping and optimizing manufacturing processes gives me great pleasure – Electro Terminal’s three production areas provide the opportunity to accompany the creation process of a product from raw material to finished item.
