In the world of household appliances, requirements for safety and material durability are increasing. With KADO HD V0, we present the logical evolution of our proven KADO HD series—optimized for the highest fire protection classes and global applications.

KADO HD V0 comes with a new insulating material. By using high-performance plastics, it meets the strict UL 94 V0 criteria, making it self-extinguishing while offering excellent long-term temperature resistance.

For manufacturers building devices in accordance with IEC 60335-1, KADO HD V0 also fulfills the flame resistance requirements for contact carrier parts in unattended appliances with a current load >0.2 A:

• Glow Wire Test (GWT): Passed at 750°C with a flame duration of <2 seconds directly at the connection box.
• GWIT value: VDE-tested Glow Wire Ignition Temperature of 775°C.

Thanks to outstanding relative thermal index (RTI) values, we have increased the operating temperature for UL applications from 65°C to 125°C. Combined with an exceptional tracking resistance of CTI >600 (in accordance with IEC 60112), KADO HD V0 sets new benchmarks for reliability and longevity under electrical stress.

KADO HD V0 is ready for use in any market. In addition to European ENEC approval and UL recognition, it also holds CQC certification for China. One component covers all major global markets.

• Environmental Responsibility: For us, safety also means responsibility for the environment. We use a flame retardant package that is completely halogen- and phosphorus-free.
• Resource Efficiency: We not only conserve resources during manufacturing but also avoid problematic hazardous waste at the end of the product life cycle.
• Easy Disposal: KADO HD can be disposed of at collection points for electrical and electronic waste. The plastic used is free from brominated flame retardant additives and therefore does not need to be treated as hazardous waste in the subsequent disposal chain.
