With quiet respect and a touch of nostalgia, we bid a final farewell to the EKL S terminal. For many years, it was a reliable fixture in control cabinets, junction boxes, and installations of all kinds. Unobtrusive in appearance, uncompromising in function – a terminal that was never loud, but always there.
EKL S brought generations of conductors together safely and survived temperature fluctuations and countless assemblies without complaint. It was not a terminal for big words, but for secure connections. Anyone who used it knew: It stays put.
EKL S was known for its flexibility – in the best sense of the word. With its legendary twist ’n pull mechanism, it could be effortlessly adjusted to the desired number of poles – without the need for unnecessary tools. A quality that made it not only practical in daily use but almost endearing.
But even legends deserve a well-earned retirement eventually.
Requirements change, and technology evolves. Alas, EKL S is now finally handing over the responsibility for secure connections to the next generation.
Its successors are ready to take over: SLK takes charge in the lighting sector, MICROCON SMDP handles direct connections on the PCB, and SDKF sets new standards in electrical installation.
One thing remains unchanged: Just like their predecessor, all new terminal generations are manufactured entirely in Europe. Faster, more modern, and easier to use, they carry on our tradition of better connections – with the highest precision from European production, ready for the future.
SDKF confidently handles a clamping range of 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² for solid, stranded, and flexible conductors. Different wire cross-sections in one terminal?
