SLK 8 – Our “Smart” in a lighting project

We are pleased to report on a recently completed lighting project featuring our intelligent SLK 8. The results speak for themselves: outstanding customer satisfaction, easy installation, and a system that exceeds expectations in terms of performance, flexibility, and future-proofing.

This project required a reliable, compact luminaire connection system that could integrate mains power, DALI control, and wireless connectivity in a single solution. SLK 8 meets all these requirements: it serves as a luminaire terminal, provides DALI power supply, and – in the Casambi version – offers wireless integration via an integrated Bluetooth module.

• The SLK 8 terminals were installed in the existing luminaire connection room (see photo).

• Mains cables (L, N, PE) and DALI control lines were connected directly to the SLK 8, reducing the need for additional components and connection points.

• Via the Casambi network, the luminaires can be conveniently grouped and dimmed. Commissioning and control are intuitive via mobile device.

• Since the SLK 8 supports up to six channels, different DALI addresses can be assigned per zone, allowing users to quickly switch between lighting scenes, such as general, accent, or emergency lighting.

• The result: clean wiring, significantly reduced installation time, and smooth commissioning.

The project team was highly satisfied: installation was quick, wiring remained clear and organized, external components could be minimized, and lighting scenes can be adjusted with just a few taps
